Description:
In this video editing activity, students have an opportunity to hear from two women who both experienced bigotry that was made socially acceptable by the media. In both cases, media "scripts" contributed to prejudice. Understanding experiences of past and current intolerance facilitated by media will help students develop the skills to identify and challenge those scripts. Students will construct a video that changes the script and counters prejudice.
