In this activity, students will consider the consequences of the Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda in 1994 and reflect on the difficult process of reconciliation and how they can contribute to it. They will examine clips of testimony and other primary source materials that focus on the topic as they begin to develop their own ideas. Students will be asked to contemplate their role in building lasting peace in Rwanda. Then, they will create their own video project to explain what they believe their role is in the reconciliation process.
