In this activity, students will listen to testimonies from survivors of the Nanjing Massacre, the Holocaust, and the Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda. Students will connect what they know about courage from history to what they learn about courage from these genocide survivors. Through analyzing testimony, students will learn the importance and the different forms of courage in the face of adversity.
As a result of the activity, students will construct a six-word story.
