This mini-quest will ask students to consider the concept of courage and the various ways people display courage. Students will be introduced to the 1943 Rosenstrasse Protest in Berlin, where a group of non-Jewish German women conducted a nonviolent demonstration to have their German Jewish spouses released from the deportation arrests. Students will work with primary and secondary sources and prepare a "This I believe..." statement to demonstrate courageously about something for which they will stand.
