In this activity students will learn about and analyse the Red Cross visit to the Theresienstadt ghetto in 1944. To do this they will use a map and primary source material in the form of testimony to learn about the experiences of those who lived in the camp. They will analyse survivor testimony and art work to gain an understanding of the deception carried out by the camp officials during the Red Cross visit. Students will also work together to present what they have learnt.

This activity was designed for the National Holocaust Centre and Museum, UK.
