In this Mini-Quest, inspired and framed by George Ella Lyon's "Where I'm From" poem, students will be asked to analyze the poem to explore life experiences and memories that play a role in the formation of identity. They will engage with testimony to gain a deeper understanding of the poem's meaning as they prepare to write their own "Where I'm From" poem. Students will then write and present their poem with their peers.

Testimony from Rose Apelian, Armenian Survivor, Saoran Latour, Cambodian Survivor, Peter Hersch, Jewish Survivor.
